LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Philharmonic is a prestigious American symphony orchestra that brings diversity, arts and education to the Southern California area. Since 1919, the Philharmonic has been an integral part of Los Angeles and surrounding areas. As a result, businessman and entrepreneur Alex Kouba has announced his support for the organization in hopes of attracting interest from other potential music fans and supporters.

With last year’s addition of Gustavo Dudamel as music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, a renewed excitement has been generated as fans enjoy the summer season at the Hollywood Bowl and anticipate the 2010-2011 winter season, which begins in October at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

“The LA Philharmonic has a rich history and is an integral part of the Southern California community and of our cultural fabric,” said Alex Kouba, active supporter and patron of the Philharmonic.

“I have come public with my support with the hopes of encouraging others to get involved in supporting this fine organization, and as an endorsement of the vision, leadership and genius that Dudamel represents,” added Kouba.

Hailed by critics for its contemporary style, the Los Angeles Philharmonic has established itself as one of the leading orchestras of the world. The LA Phil accepts sponsorships and charitable donations to fund and support many of its music and educational programs.
“Arts and entertainment positively impact communities in many different ways,” said Alex Kouba. “These effects can be significant, especially for our youth, which is why I am such a strong advocate of encouraging others to get involved to help benefit the area.”

Known for his advocacy of First Amendment rights and of his notable business achievements  in the billboard and outdoor advertising industries, Alex Kouba also supports the Los Angeles Fireman’s Fund, St. John’s Health Center, Brentwood School, the LA Zoo and other great charities.
